Tracy Bird here is a short video clip of the okanagan bands checking nets to feed there people. There was one chief and 2 councillors from 3 different Okanagan reserves working together for there communities! that was the coolest thing to see. The tribal council has taken over there traditional territory and manage there own fishery/hatchery. Me and my bro simon bird will be going back next july for a cultural exchange, the tribal council leaders want to see how we set and check nets by hand not hydraulic wheel im excited and already looking forward to that trip :)
