Something amazing happened to me today and I wanted to document it. I met this cute little girl yesterday. Her name is Alexandra and shes a Romanian. She taught me how to swim like a mermaid and we instantly clicked and became friends. While looking at her, thoughts came to my mind - Did she knows who Jesus is? What if she says no? How will I introduce Jesus to a 9 year old who doesnt have any idea who God is? Will she understand what Im talking about? I knew that God was leading me to talk to her about Jesus and all I have to do is to step out and ask her. And out conversation goes like this: Jam: Alexandra, do know Jesus? Alex: No. J: He is my best friend. He is the best ever friend that I ever had. Do you want to meet him? He can also be your best friend. He loves and He cares for you. A: Ok. When can I meet him? J: Today! Hes actually right here! A: Where is he? Is he there inside the window? (Pointing the condo near us). Do you have his picture? J: (This time, I was having a hard time explaining things to her.) Ahhhm... You cant actually see him but he is real. Hes my best friend! I talk to him anytime and you can also talk to him anytime you want to. A: I dont like him to be my friend. I cant see him. I have friends, you know... My doll! How I wish they become real so I can talk to them! J: (I saw an opportunity how to share Jesus). Ok. Look, you can see your doll, but shes not real. She cant talk coz she is not alive. But Jesus is real! You cant see him but he is alive. He loves you. See the sky, the trees and the sun? He created all of these just for you. He died for you coz He loves you. And if you will ask him to be your best friend, he will live inside your heart. All you have to do is talk to him. Do you want to see how real he is? A: (Shes unsure so she just stared at me and asked me to swim again.) Cmon, lets just swim! While in the pool.... A: I want to stay under the water longer. But I cant breathe! I want to swim faster but I cant! J: You know what, we can ask Jesus to help you. (Hesitant to say the next line coz I was like Duh? How it will happen? in my own thinking) Ok.. Follow me.. Jesus.. Help me to swim faster and stay longer under the water.. Amen! A: Jesus.. Help me to swim faster and stay longer under the water.. Amen! After few seconds... A: Hey! How come I swim faster and stay longer under? J: (Shocked) Really??? See! I told you! Jesus is real! A: I want to ask Jesus again! Tell him to help me swim deeper!!! J: Ok! You ask him.. A: Jesus, help me to swim deeper! Amen Few seconds after... J: Wow! Did you see that? Thats deep! Never seen you swim that deep! A: Yes! Jesus helped me! J: Alright, do you want him to be your best friend? A: Yes! Then I led her to a prayer of inviting Jesus in her life and I told her that Jesus will live inside her heart forever and ever. After we prayed.. A: I am happy! Can you feel my heart (putting my hand on her chest). Its so fast! See! Im jumping! I cant stop myself from jumping!!! (Giggles). Why am I happy! Jesus makes me happy! Then I began to cry when I saw the smile on her face. I saw Gods hand moved right at my very own eyes! I know that Alexandra will never forget this day. I want document this so I would have a cloud file here in Facebook. If one day shell go back to Romania and will not see each other again, at least I have this file saved. Well never now. Maybe we will see each other again in mission trips, conferences or maybe she will be an inspirational and influential author like Joyce Meyer. I dont know! But I know that God has great plans for her and she will always remember this day when she had her first encounter with her best friend Jesus. Thank You God for leading me to this little girl. I know it wasnt an accident and I know that one day, we will talk about this story. Im in awe! It was such an amazing experience to work with what You are doing in this generation! Such a humbling experience! Side story: While she was riding her scooter going home... A: You know what, I almost slip but Jesus helped me again! He turned the wheels to other side. I felt it!!
