Something that can be difficult to see, understand, or grasp about those who have apparent Narcissism is that a good number of them have NO IDEA that they have it, or that theres anything wrong or strange with their behavior or perceptions. They are no more capable of mature perception and behavior than a very young child, and do not possess the equipment or capability to change, grow, or self-examine at any significant level. Theyre hard-wired, stuck, calcified, and so growth and change are not possible, which is utterly foreign to those who dont have this type of disorder. If a non-narcissist is like a tree, the narcissist is like a stone. They may be well able to learn things that dont directly impact their personal identity and ego, but learning something that would have a direct affect on their ego-identity and perception might be impossible.
