Something thats crossed my mind lately,regards the Page 3/lads mag debate. Is it not actually counter-productive to ban page 3 for fears of objectification and breeding a rape culture? Is it possibly saying they are pieces of desireable meat, that its expected of potential rapists to be uncontrollable after seeing a topless women, and saying a topless woman is different to a topless man? Would it not be better served to educate men (and women) that by all means, if a woman has willingly posed topless, have a look. However dont harrass/assault/rape women or assume all women are up for it because a small number choose to go topless for your pleasure/their career....and treat/rehabilitate/imprison those who feel it acceptable to rape a woman because of how she or a woman on page 3 is dressed? For the record, this doesnt include upskirts of celebs getting into cars or obtrusive (however staged or unstaged) photos of celebs sunbathing topless. These shouldnt only be banned, they should carry prosecution.
