Today Violets class started a big project (part of PBL. Shes in ms. Hoovers 2nd grade). She told me she needed to learn about the Ash Tree and the bugs they have so they can examine the trees on the school property. The end of the project will include recommendations to the Superintendent. We found a web video and she took notes and drew pictures to share what she learned with her class. Totally awesome, right?
