Something to look forward to..... Pitch Perfect Pitch Perfect: Music and Film reveals the many facets of music in film. It traces the role that music has played in films as motif, inspiration and narrative itself. SESSION 1 10.00am | Finding the Rhythm: Music and Symphonic Storytelling - Australian films that result in the narrative being driven by the music are featured in this session. The music and song tell the story without the need for words. SESSION 2 1.00pm | Beyond Storytelling: Music, Imagination and Imagined Time in Asian Film - This sessions looks at the use of music in Asian films to create and inspire, as well as tell the story, but also to suggest the story beyond the film. Repetition of music is used to express what is unsaid or what cant be conveyed by dialogue. SESSION 3 4.30pm | The Music Genre and More: Bollywood and Beyond - A Bollywood film would not be a Bollywood film without music, dance and song. Spectacle, passion, melodrama and music at every turn, is the classic Bollywood film. Pitch Perfect: Music and Film takes place at Queensland Conservatorium on Sunday, 24 November.
