Something weird just happened. I got a knock on my door at 4am. I grabbed my knife, answered the door, and it was my next door neighbor that Ive never said one word to holding a six pack of Dos Equis. She invited me over to her room. It turns out shes from Medellin Colombia. It was refreshing to have a conversation with someone I can understand. The little Spanish Ive learned was mostly from Colombians.
