Something wonderful just happen to me.. Well it has been happening, but this morning I GOT IT. My Mom loved Hummingbirds, I mean really loved Hummingbirds. I have 2 pillows she had, one big one for the couch, & a small one for your neck, that I have slept with since my surgery, it keeps everything positioned just right, plus it was MOMs., I felt close to her. Anyway, Mom hasnt known who I was for over a year, so I have really missed her. Last Thursday, when I was taking T.T to Sissy so I could go to the Carolinas to bury Mom, as we were talking, I looked up & saw a Hummingbird buzzing around her front door on a wreath. She has feeders out in the back, but she said that is the first time it has ever been at the front. Now I have tried feeders where I live up the mountain, but have never had any success. The day after I got back home, I was sitting on my back porch, looked up & saw a little Hummingbird on my Butterfly Bush. I was so excited, yesterday I went & got 2 feeders & put them out back by my porch. This morning, I am sitting on my FRONT porch sipping coffee & writing in my journal. I hear this loud buzzing, but I dont look up because I figure it is a Big Honey Bee. Well the buzzing gets louder & closer. As I glance up, no more than 3 ft from me, staring me dead in the eye is this precious little Hummingbird, flapping its little wings so hard, you could hear the Buzzzz as its wings cut through the air. I couldnt breathe for a second. For just a moment we stared at each other & then it flew off. During my fight With Cancer, I have so often wished I had Mom close to me one more time, just to feel her lovely presence near me, and to feel her reassurance that it is going to be okay. This morning I got that. God is using the Hummingbird, that my Mom loved so dearly, to show me my Mom is right here with me. Thank you, Jesus & I love you Mom.
