Sometimes I feel compelled to let people know whats involved in Rescue. Yes we DO CHARGE AN ADOPTION FEE WHATS INCLUDED IN THIS ADOPTION FEE IS AS FOLLOWS :: I am absolutely not complaining I LOVE WHAT I DO , I love these animals with ALL MY HEART but please be patient if I cannot respond to you quickly. 1.) Heart worm test 2.) shots 3.) spay or neuter !! 4.) transport 5.) reviewing applications 6.) calling vets of possible adopters 7.) doing home inspections 8.) purchasing necessary Supplies. 9.) dog Food 10.) Spend time and work with the dog to assess behavior . 11.) finding wonderful foster homes 12.) keep up with clients and applicants 13.) post animals on pet finder 14.) answer all questions-posed on Facebook 15.) plan events to promote your rescue 16.) keep up with all posting on Facebook make sure all is positive and in the best interest of the dogs . 17.) explain to others why you cant save them all 18.) all vetting appts. 19.) Make all Appts. For meeting with potential adopters 20.) Keep up with updates from fosters. 21.) keep and maintain receipts and paperwork 22.) Try desperately to get support 23.) keep up with Govt. Regulations 24.) try in your spare time to organize fundraisers 25.) Do everything in your power to always make the right decision ( always in the best interest of the dog ) 26.) answer all emails 27.) answer all messages on Facebook and make sure the daily owner surrender requests are takin care of & directly to the right place if we are unable to help 28.) making sure dogs are with the VERY best applicants 29.) picking up donations and pursing dog food 30.) going through and choosing what dogs we can responsibly save . ( my least favorite ) I want to save them all 31.) making sure NOT to let people effect you because there is a always Someone who feels they have GODS AUTHORITY TO judge you . 32.) Make sure people know there is a trial period this is to Assure people I am not in the Buisness of dumping dogs . 33.) dog ALWAYS COMES back to me of dog cannot be kept 34.) I am sure there is more but please know I never offend and please feel free to ask QUESTIONS !!!! The more you know the more you understand this procedure and the more compelled you are to help. YES I HAVE MADE mistakes but NEVER at the expense of a dog and I have learned and improved because of them !! Please have a great day and I hope this helps you understand the procedure a bit more .
