#Tanzania@50 Cheers to the Union. Blessed are our Founding Fathers J.K. Nyerere & Abeid Amani Karume for the Noble and Brilliant idea of joining 2 countries Tanganyika & Zanzibar in 1964. This period was full of ideological intricacies of the Cold War between the West & East. 50 years on, this graceful event is enjoyable and worth maintaining, challenges notwithstanding. It is my conviction that the 3-tier government will strengthen our Union further for the benefit of the current & new generations. Bravo and well done President Jakaya Kikwete for the Union celebrations today which are impressive, historic and memorable. Long Live Our Union #TanzaniaNusuKarne Hongera Muungano wetu. Baraka na Heri nyingi ziwafikie Waasisi wetu J.K. Nyerere na Abeid Amani Karume kwa ujasiri wao wa kuunganisha Tanganyika na Zanzibar mwaka 1964. Kipindi hiki kilikiwa kimesheheni changamoto nyingi za Vita Baridi kati ya Nchi za Magharibi na Mashariki. Baada ya Nisu Karne bado tunaona umuhimu wa Muungano licha ya changamoto na kero. Ninaamini ujio/uwepo wa Serikali 3 utaimarisha zaidi Muungano wetu kwa manufaa ya kizazi cha sasa na vijavyo. Hongera nyingi kwa Rais Kikwete kwa sherehe nzuri, zenye kufana za kihistoria na za kukumbukwa. Udumu Muungano wetu.
