Sometimes I really struggle with my decision to be a mom instead of pursue a career. I know I made the right decision for me, and for my family, but that doesnt discount the snide voice in my head that sometimes tells me that I gave myself up. I read this quote today, a few seconds ago, and I just had to share it from the rooftops. It made me realize again, that the work of moms-- and all women--isnt just taking the easy way or silly and unimportant, it is, in fact, the building of a nation, one person at a time. To help another human being reach one’s celestial potential is part of the divine mission of woman. As mother, teacher, or nurturing saint, she molds living clay to the shape of her hopes. In partnership with God, her divine mission is to help spirits live and souls be lifted. This is the measure of her creation. It is ennobling, edifying, and exalting. (Russell M. Nelson)
