Sometimes I think praying for other people is a cop out. God will - TopicsExpress

Sometimes I think praying for other people is a cop out. God will move in their lives at His appointed time. and then fold hands, say a prayer and do nothing. How can we expect God to move in someones life by distancing ourselves from them and then keep asking God to change them or give them a make over? It seems ridiculous to expect God to move heaven and earth and force someone to change if we are not willing to interact or otherwise engage with them. I believe prayer is more of a jumpstart for us to realize what we should do than it is to whip ourselves into a frenzy of sentiments, quoting Scriptures and using religious phrases, interceding God to do something. Seems more like He would ask His children to do something. How often do angels appear? How many times do people hear voices from heaven telling them to turn from their ways. Once there was a group of people who so cared for others, everyone realized they did it because they cared, not because someone made rules for them to live by. They didnt bless people in the name of Jesus, they just did good. At the end of their lives, they werent even aware they had done it for God. But God did. He said they had ministered to His Son. Give me love with skin on anytime.
