Sometimes I wonder... Is evil a necessity in this reality? I think so. Physical evolution is spurred by the adaptation to an antagonistic environment, that is to say that beings change their bodies to better survive. However, what then spurs mental evolution? What antagonistic environment exists within the realm of the mind? I say to you, that antagonist is evil itself. Thus, our continued evolution of thought requires evil to exist, it thirsts for it. It needs those souls to take the dive into the abyss, those souls to sacrifice themselves to the darkness, in order to continue to grow. An interesting dilemma, to both be compelled by a need to eliminate evil and the need to nurture it...
