Sometimes I wonder if we spend too much telling either other what God is not. We are constantly pointing out deception and things that are not of God. I choose to believe that the mindset behind the people who do this is genuine, and there goal is to try to not let things taint the depiction of who God really is. I would just ask that maybe we ask Him what He thinks about those depictions and then respond out of that. I feel like if I were a gold digger(not the Kanye West kind) and told you all the things that gold was not, you would struggle to find gold, and may even one day find gold and not recognize it as such. On the other hand, if I told you everything about what gold really was, and explained the ways Ive found gold in my life, you may have a better chance of actually finding it and recongizing it when you do. I say all this to say, there is a time and a place to call things what they are, truth or deception. But I cant help but feel like if we focus on finding where there is truth or where God is in things, instead our initial thought to be whats wrong with this picture, we may just end up seeing a earth thats filled with His Glory more than a earth that is going down in flames.
