Sometimes I write things in the flow and then step back and go that is good. This was in response to one of my online students who was fighting for control of her companys website with their webdesigner, who is controlling the content of the site: Heres how i look at it - simplistic but effective: website = book (medium by which information is shared) web designer = printing press (creative input, primary focus is construction not content) marketing focused content writer - author (creator of content people want to read and that compels them to buy) web designer + marketing writer = synergy of talent - laying out the information in an attractive way to entice people to buy (the whole point) in the same way that the purpose of a book is to be read.
