Sometimes a status update can off-ramp or degenerate to levels so extremely severe that the only thing left to do is to stop commenting on it (in which case youd be giving power for people to own your Facebook account, something that is dangerous) or just remove it. This is the crisis of opening up your account to more than 27 000 people. Having a large number of people subscribed to your account is both a blessing and a curse. You can communicate to more people and reach a wider audience, which is great. But equally, you attract some of the worst elements in society: hooligans, paedophiles, perverts, warlords, sociopaths, psychopaths and people who thrive on swearing. Its a dilemma of great proportions, one that demands the most patient of people to navigate.
