Sometimes sickness is influenced by demonic forces, so we must use our authority to cast out devils. (He said this because Jesus was saying, “Evil spirit, come out of this man!” ) So Jesus asked him, “What is your name?” The man answered, “My name is ‘Mob’ — there are so many of us!” So the spirits begged Jesus, “Send us to the pigs, and let us go into them.” He let them go, and the evil spirits went out of the man and entered the pigs. The whole herd — about 2,000 pigs in all — rushed down the side of the cliff into the lake and was drowned. (Mark 5:8, 9, 12, 13 GNB) Not every sickness that we deal with in a person, is the result of only the law of Sin. But there are times when demonic forces have attached themselves to someone and bring about sickness. We can only know this through the gift of discerning of spirits, or a word of knowledge. We must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit so that we may know how to deal with sickness and disease in each and every situation. The Holy Spirit will reveal to us what we must do in each and every case, we must then be obedient and we must cast out the spirit, and the sickness will leave! Today I want you to know, that the very same authority that Jesus exercised, he gave to you. In Luke 10:19 he said; "Behold I give to you power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all of the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." In the time of need exercise your authority and cast out demons and heal the sick.
