Sometimes someone I get along with most of the time but am not that good of friends with or someone I really respect and love or someone I havent seen in a long while and dont really know anymore asks me, Hows painting? and I get really weird. Painting is good. I painted a guy today. I saw him in a coffee shop a few months ago and he was demanding cookies from the girl working behind the counter. He was kind of being a huge ass hole about cookies actually. The way he dressed was genius because he tricked me. When I first glanced I thought he was dressed like a runner: shorts, tank top, sneakers, sweatband. But up close the sweatband was black lace tide around his head and around his neck he was wearing a doubled up thick gold chain and in his hand he was carrying a beaded purse. I took a picture to paint him. Running shoes and a tank top with lace and gold is good. Painting is good. I sent a picture of the painting to my mom and she didnt respond for a while so I asked Are you okay? she said, Ya, Im looking at it, deciding if I like it. I think I do... I like the pallet. I wanna put the rainbow more clear or something. Rainbow? At the bottom right. I didnt get a rainbow in my pic. Show me. Its a small rainbow. I then sent her a close up of the rainbow and she responded, I just see his hand on what looks like a railing or 1/2 wall. Ma, but look at the rainbow colors. and then she saw what I was talking about, the thing that didnt really matter. I realize now how confusing that really must have been. The painting is of a person standing there, not of a rainbow. And the part that could be considered a rainbow is tiny and in the corner but it is very important, my favorite part, the most important part. Painting is good. Just right now the last thing I did before writing this was I took a step back from the painting and realized that it is the same colors I just painted my walls. So that is kind of perfect. Painting is good.
