Sometimes we dont build walls so that no one can reach us; rather, we build them to know the ones who care enough to climb just to reach us. Sometimes we dont shut doors so that no one can see us; rather, we shut them to know the ones who care enough to knock and knock and keep knocking patiently till we open the doors. Sometimes we dont frown cos we want to be enemies; rather, we do so in other to know those who care enough to ask why we frown and make efforts to bring back our smiles. Sometimes we dont throw tantrums to scare people; rather, we do so to see the ones who love us enough to tolerate us even in our down moments. Sometimes we dont get mad at people because we want to annoy them; we do so to know the ones who are understanding enough to lovingly calm us down when were upset. Sometimes we dont withhold cos we cant release; we do so to see the ones who can sweetly convince us to freely give even when we never planned to do so. Sometimes we dont interrupt because we want to cut people short; we do so in other to see the ones who can hear us out even when were not ready to sound happy. When we dont complain it is not because we dont feel bad; rather, it is because if we give people so many chances to prove themselves and they keep failing at every instance, we give up on them. So next time you see people build walls; if you truely care about them, then you should try to climb. Next time they shut doors; if you care enough, then you must dare to knock. When they frown at you, make them smile. Next time they get mad at you, lovingly calm them down. When they say: NO!!! to your request, sweetly show them reasons to grant it. When next they interrupt and rant, calmly listen; that way, youll get to know why theyre so hurt. But when they stop expressing themselves around you (I mean their very true selves); it only shows that they dont care about you anymore.
