Why should one pray for a pastor, his wife and the church congregation? Here is an excellent true-life example.... Have had a difficult two months at church.... we are an extremely small congregation who loves the Lord and one another. We serve the community and are involved in missions. Another church heard that our pastor was terminally ill. Also heard that our church building was paid for. They came and worshiped with us, said they wanted to join and serve the Lord with us. Things began to go badly. They lied to us. We found out from several of them ....that when our pastor died, they were going to put in their pastor and then take over the church because they had the numbers to out vote us. We were horrified....but we became a mighty army for the Lord, put on the whole armor of God and stood firm. In spite of all their efforts, we remain and they are gone. We have an awesome God..... we praise Him for the victory. Last Sunday, we had the sweetest church service. The Lord actually returned to the church and was praised and worshiped as He should have been. Pray for us, please as we move forward serving and loving the Lord with all of our heart, our soul and loving others as Christ loved us.
