Sometimes when I get bored I like to sit around and imagine things that the characters from “The Office” might say. This has been going on for a few years and occasionally I get confused as to whether I’m remembering an actual quote from the show or something I made up. Anyway, here’s one for my main man, Dwight K. Schrute. (I think this hits a lot of the main Dwight notes). Dwight on raising livestock: “Yes, I believe in selective breeding. At Schrute Farms we maintain a very strict standard of purity for our livestock. The weak, the lame, and the feeble are separated from the rest of the animals and corralled in a special pen, to be dealt with accordingly. And what happens when they get there??? Game nights, mostly. Maybe once a week we’ll do a poetry reading. One time, Mose even set up an obstacle course. We lost to the goat team, which was a major but respectable upset. You know, now that I think about it, maybe they’re not so different from the other animals after all. Besides, they taste just as good.”
