Somewhere today in Ogun State I was in a border town at a Nigerian Customs check point. The custom officers were variously from Jigawa, Oyo, Ondo, Adamawa, Niger states and Kuba, FCT. Also in attendance was a unionist who hailed from Edo. Hes working in Ogun State. How majority of Nigerians have fallen apart with the federal governments helmsman due to his under-performance profile was the the theme of the discussion. This burning factor, under-performance, the discussants unanimously concluded will make it difficult for him to be voted for in the forthcoming presidential election. In the course of the emotionally laden discussion, the unionist ejaculated, The same thing with Amosun he has done nothing. In response to the VPs somewhat loathsome message, jointly all the custom officers sarcastically chorused, Heen! You said what?!!! The Jigawa State born officer on his own clearly stated that hes not seeing a governor performing like Amisu (he meant to say Amosun). Especially Sango, heee! The man has actually transformed the place. One of them highlighted and commended the job so far done at Abeokuta. The other officers talked about the quality of the road being re-constructed and expanded all over. It was at that point I came in to explain to the strangers that a replica of what they saw at Abeokuta and Sango were going on at Ayetoro, Ijebu Ode, Akute Shagam and a vast nooks and cranny of the state etc. The unionist was eventually gagged.
