Song of the night: If You Could Read My Mind by Gordon Lightfoot.Story behind the song for me: I was 12 years old at my dentists office, Dr. Cooper in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. No Nitrous, no anesthesia, yet he was a good man. He had to pull a bottom tooth while Nurse Betty was yapping 90 miles a minute. The only comfort was this beautiul, glorious song was playing on the radio. It is such a beautiful song. We alll did the best that we could at the time -- it was the 60s. But I have to thank Gordon Lightfoot the most. Aside from my dental experience, I still consider this one of the most beautiful songs in the world. Thanks, Gordon.
