SonnyB......... A new solar powered airplane is being touted as a huge breakthrough in solar technology. I view it very differently. They go from an aircraft 747-8, that can carry 853 people, and cruise near 600 MPH, to a solar airplane that can carry 2 people and travel at 45 miles and hour max. What kind of a technological, good for humanity, break through is that…! And the solar airplane by standards is huge because of the amount of solar panels it has to have, but still only carries 2 people…! I’m sure the environmentalists are just jumping up and down about it. So say they are going to use it for a passenger plane…, it is setting on the tarmac in L.A.X. getting ready to take ONE passenger to New York City…! It will take 5 days for the trip and that would be non stop…! But you have to stop to sleep. So maybe the trip will take 8 days…! Wow what a break thru. As they use to say, Beam me up Scotty…! I wonder how much Government, uh, I mean tax payer money went into that airplane…? I bet all of it was taxpayer money. And what have we the people gained from this…?
