Sonu Sood to shift to new home in Diwali Apart from Diwali, its the new pad thats adding spark to actor Sonu Soods life. While an electrifying housewarming is what the lanky star has planned to mark their entry into the humongous penthouse, situated on the 68th floor of a housing unit at the elite Mahalaxmi Racecourse area in Mumbai, a sparkling light show is also being considered for the occasion. The Sonus fiery entry to their new home will coincide with Diwali. The sprawling place spread out over two floors (68th and 69th)- which is being refurbished- is Sonus second property in Mumbai (Currently, Sood stays at Lokhandwala). According to sources, the actor, whos a complete shopaholic, has done a massive research about interiors. Its a full team of professionals which is doing up the place uniquely, a source added. Sonu said, Yes, I will be moving there soon. However, after the necessary griha pravesh rituals on Diwali, we will have to wait for one more year as a lot of work, interiors, designing etc is to be completed. We hear, after the property acquisition process, the actor shopped in shifts to avoid burden. Also, during his recent Slam! The tour abroad, the actor picked up decorative stuff from the USA. Some items are being imported from Dubai and Bangkok as well. It comes naturally as I am a shopping freak. People say theres no time, but with the grace of God I manage to spare some hours, he said. The actor has ordered special furniture and colour scheme is being added to make the house appear vibrant. Its a full time job to make a house, but thankfully I have been working on my dream project since long, so it has not burdened me. Believing in the saying dil to bachcha hai Sonu said dealing with house matters can be touchy. I like my place to be classy and jazzy. So, I go for timeless furniture which doesnt get outdated soon. Sonu has been taking housing lessons since long as he himself got his ancestral house in Moga, Punjab renovated. And it took years as Sonu wanted to create something that cant be copied. It gets chaotic and confusing at times, but then doing work in installments can help you stay at peace, laughed Sonu.
