Sony Pictures has been hacked, in what will arguably go down as the most damaging criminal release of private data. A group calling themselves the G.O.P. has secretly been inside of Sonys internal network for over a year, snooping and reading every email and word document that exist, including private emails among top executives on what they really think of Anjelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. One director called Jolie a minimally talented spoiled brat The most damaging items released on the internet are confidential HR records for current and past employees, listed are SSN, birthdays, email and passwords, along with HIPA health records, Did you ever wonder what medical condition a co worker has? If you work at Sony you can now find out that Barb in accounting has herpes and vaginal warts and takes way to many Xanax according to her insurance claims paid out in November. Ever wonder why someone was fired? if you work at Sony then just get online to read the HR directors confidential reports, I would guess some wrongful termination suits will be soon be on their way. On Ponca Online Watchdog, I speak many times about keeping our online life secure, but what are we to do if our place of employment is hacked? We can all ponder on the paper work that will be involved in changing the social security numbers of all the biggest movie stars and all 3800 Sony employees now that anyone can down load the list from the internet.
