Soo I go to visit a new church this morning and as I walk in my immediate impression is; this is nice, not really paying attention to my surroundings. Then the speaker gets up and introduces himself and announces that its senior Sunday. I immediately look around and the church is full of senior citizens with a few Middle Aged, and younger people. I thought to myself oh boy, what in the world did I walk into. Most churches that are comprised of mainly older folks tend to be slow and some of the topics geared towards well, older people. Nothing wrong with that however, I personally like a good mix so you have the experience of the older generation and some new ideas from the younger crowd. Anyway, the pastor of the church is away on a mission and they had a guest speaker; yet another senior citizen. The speaker graciously announced him and said that this gentleman had more energy than everyone in that room out together...Of course I called bluff....BOY WAS I WRONG!!! Best service I have been to in YEARS! Upbeat, emotional! This gentleman made everyone get off their seats to praise god he was so good!!! You could feel this gentleman wan anointed by god. The message; Do you ever feel like something is weighing you down?..I was like, what?? It was as if god was speaking directly to me through this gentleman...I kept looking around in disbelief.. AND May I add, this bishop was in fact, so full of energy that he even danced around the isles. Loved it! Im soo happy I went and stayed.. Lesson learned; NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER.... I know this but sometimes I need a little reminder....That is all; have a blessed Sunday!
