Sooo… yesterday afternoon I was at the park with the children when I saw a police car flash a driver and pull over right next to us. Being a forward thinking parent I called our children over and said Look, the police men are going to talk to the car in front of them and I am thinking to myself wow, isnt this great the kids get to see the police at work checking a licence or giving a speeding fine?. Yeah... anyone know where this is going? The police get out and they ask the driver of the little beat up car in front of them to do a breath test and then proceed to ask both the driver and the passenger in the vehicle to get out for a car search. Erm... clearly I thought this scenario through because now Ive a) got my kids awkwardly staring with their mouths hanging open and b) got them a front row seat for two pissed off young people (who may or may not have drug problems) loudly abusing the police officers and trying to claim the marijuana in their car isnt theirs ;/ Homeschooling, ftw! Here little children, heres an impromptu lesson in drug use, profanity and violent threats. #parentfail
