Soooo... I ve been watching other projects made with reflective yarn, saw it at Walmart for more money than I wanted to spend when I didnt have my own project in mind, and kept an eye on the price. Finally it dawned on me that my son often walks to/waits for the bus in the near dark along a road with no sidewalk or street lights, and has a black coat. Hmmmm. I had a reason to get the yarn! Except its no longer at my Walmart. :/ Fast forward a week or so, and the two of us stop at Hobby Lobby looking for something for a different project for my daughter. I couldnt leave without strolling through the yarn aisles. My eye caught only 1 shade of reflective yarn. It met my sons approval, and he picked out a green to coordinate. Today I finally got to work with it. Its kind of scratchy, so I ended up making a two-layer hat. I think hes pleased, and I think hell be more easily seen on those dark mornings, and be warmer, too. :) Now my daughter wants one too, in magenta & purple. Lol
