Soooooo, I dont want to be a downer, but its a bit of a drag when I see my work plagiarized on the internet. Ive attached an image of what this looked like. I also have some additional thoughts below for those who want to continue to read on: Hi everyone! For those that follow my page (https://facebook/shaeconcept) and may be newer to concept art, I want to take a moment to express some thoughts on good practices as a professional or aspiring professional concept artist. As a concept artist its so important to study why things look the way they do. From fellow artists to nature, there is no shortage of things we can all learn from. When it comes to studying the work of another artist always credit that artist so it does not get mistaken for plagiarism. Plagiarism can be defined as “A piece of writing or other work reflecting such unauthorized use or imitation”- dictionary.reference. All one has to do is credit their source if they decide to publish a study. From a professional perspective, it is perfectly acceptable to copy another artists work for learning. Just give them credit. Below is a great example of what not to do and how to fix it. Happy learning guys!
