Sophenia Synthesis The Blend 2008 selected the best wine of 2012 Sophenia Synthesis The Blend 2008 was selected the best wine of 2012 by Wine Master magazine within the Top Wines Guide, the only edition of the year that included scores. It achieved 1st place with 96 points after a tasting of the best 100 wines of the year. A distinguished panel of taster made up of renowned sommeliers and members of the industry that included Andrés Rosberg, Paz Levinson, Dolores Lavaque, Matías Chiesa, Lorena Buffa, Jorge Bourdieu and Matías Prezioso were responsible of assessing and scoring the best wines of the market. This is not the first major award received by this blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels. In 2011, it obtained the International Trophy at the Decanter World Wine Awards considering it the best blend over £10 in the world.
