Sorry I havent updated everyone yet on Isla. This morning we went in for a procedure where they removed a web of skin under her tongue to help it move more freely. It was hindering her ability to feed effectively. They also cut a web of skin under her top lip to help her flange her lips. This will help her with both breast and bottle feeding. I wasnt in the room for the procedure, but it was less than ten minutes and she has been pretty happy ever since. Now she has to re-learn how to eat. Once she can use her newly freed tongue shell start gaining weight! (Shes only up 11 ounces from her birth weight.) They say that babies are usually pretty happy the day of the procedure, but will get very fussy after the first 24 hours passes. If this helps her in the long run, it will be worth it.
