Sorry Im a little behind in posting, hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. Here are Tys last 2 emails from December. December 22 So This week was a really good one! We taught a lot of lesson and even have one investigator on date for baptism! But first let me start off with Monday, Last Monday to be honest was really boring. We didnt do a whole lot besides shop. So that was fun! Tuesday we stayed busy all day teaching. During one slow part even My companion Elder Brown Tells me hey I think we should go to this house and I just think that is perfect! SO we go to the house and our investigator is home and it is usually really hard to catch him so that was really cool! We also met with one of our other investigators that day and had a good lesson with him. So Wednesday we jsut went around and taught. I also took Elder Brown Tracting for the first time so that is always interesting! We had a good time though! So we also started teeaching a part member family! We had an amazing lesson then to!! SO Thursday we had some more really good lesson! it was a really good teaching week! I loved it a ton! Thursday is when we put one of our investigators on date for baptissm for the 24th of January! So I am excited for then! Other then that Friday slowed down just a little bit and we just taughts a few lesson. Saturday we had exchanges and I stayed and was with an Elder who was trained in this ward so that was cool to see him come back! We had a lot of lesson with active members that day! SO SUnday was my favorite day by far! WE had our Christmas program at church and that was really good! I just lov this time of year! We had dinner with some members the husband had just gotten back from deployment and saw super super cool! We listened to him tell stories for a while! After the super awesome dinner of Spanish food we went to visit some other members and we were talking about the Northern Lights and he asked us if we wanted to go see them. So we did! Man they were Amazing! They were bright aand when they danced in the sky it was incredible! Man I also found out that my camera can not take pictures of the Northern Lights... Sad day.. But I still saw them! And it was Glorious! SO yay for that! Other then That it is Christmas this week and I am super excited! I really can not wait! Now that I am on my mission and trully understand the gift of Christmas this season means so much more to me! I love it! December 29 So there has been another great week up in the Land of the north! And it was Christmas this week so that is even better! Ahhh I love Christmas and yes it was in fact a very white Christmas in case you were wondering! Its been white here since like October! It was really cool to have a Christmas like that! Guess what else! I went through the shortest day of the year in Alaska! The winter solstice was on the 21st and now all we are going to be doing is gaining sunlight each and every day! Best day ever! I love the sun... Lets just leave it at that! Well what happened this week... Well Monday was a really good day. We went with some members out to North pole to go see all the ice sculptures and also Santas house! That was really fun! They members up here are really nice! It was fun out there, but also cold like 8 below the whole time and it killed the battery on my camera super fast so I took the members camera and followed them around and took pictures of them which was actually really fun! So Tuesday we had district meeting and then went out and did the fun missionary stuff! Cause thats how we role! We taught a few lessons that day. Tuesday is always one of our best days! Wednesday was Christmas eve so it was a little bit harder to get into peoples homes, but we did it a few times and taught some more. I feel like we do a lot of teaching sometimes! Thursday was super fantastic! It was Christmas of course it was fantastic! We woke up did some studies and then read Luke 2, after that we went to the Layhews house for a little bit to hang our with them, and get a good feel for Christmas morning! After that we went and had lunch with some members and some other missionaries! It was really good lots of ham! We then got to skpe! That was super fun to see everyone! That was prolly one of my favorite parts about this Christmas! So after that we kinda just ate more ham.... everyone eats ham on Christmas I guess. So Friday I started getting sick so it was a little bit slower. Saturday I was sick. So ya. Sunday I started feeling much better and was able to go out and do things again! yay! Church was good and we taught a few lessons after dinner which is always good! This next week will be a good one! I just know it! So ya this week has been a good one! I want all of you every week to give me an update on how your reading is going! You better do it! I truly know that the Book of Mormon is true that it has come from God and that everyone who reads it will come to the knowledge of its truth and divinity. We often times take for granted The Book of Mormon, not anymore. It is a precious gift that has been saved for these last days for us. We need to treasure it. We need to read it.... Also FHE is super important as well! DO it and you will notice how much closer the family will grow! Trust me! Well it was super good to hear from you all! You guys are awesome with all the support you have given me so far! You guys are just amazing and I know that I have been placed in a family with you guys because you are the perfect family for me! Grow your testimonies. A testimony of this church is the most important thing we can gain in this life. SO go and continue to strengthen it!
