Sorry about the long post in advance, but this is a very good watch if you have time to watch it all. the part she talks about from 8:30 to about 10:00 I like a lot. Its the bit about the relationship between the level of depression and anxiety and sense of failure someone has and the distance between who you really are and who the people around you feel you are or should be is very profound. she calls it being separated from your personal truth its a concept that I have had to learn about far too often and on a far too personal level in my lifetime. Every time I overhear or listen to somebody close to me talk about me to other people I have no idea who the crap they are talking about. to this day I still call that guy they like to talk about, Ted. I have no idea who Ted is or where he came from but for some reason almost everybody I know seems to think that Ted and I are the same person. I would like to get to talk to this Ted, someday, and ask him how he feels that everybody keeps telling people that he is me. But I have yet to meet this individual everybody talks to much about. who knows he may not actually exist. its totally nuts..... ;) But I think it is soooo awesome that she I coming back around to do good that is so desperately needed in the world. and to those who say why dont you disappear or why dont you just shut up, I ask the same of them. Or to put it in a more Mitchellesque way, Piss off and shut the hell up.... The world needs more people who have actually been through pain, addictions, and specific situations and come out on top to step forward and start helping those who are still struggling with those specific issues find a way out. your knowledge, understanding, and ability to know what does and doesnt work is beyond invaluable. and like I said I am so proud of her for having the courage to A. not have ended her life by now, and B. for coming back out and trying to help those who have suffered her specific pain find a way through. “Behind sorrow, there is always a soul. And to mock at a soul in pain is a dreadful thing.” -Oscar Wilde youtube/watch?v=Xy7icJSTjL8&feature=player_embedded
