Sorry but I think removing the picture of that guys Townsend was pure bike snobbery. I love expensive bikes, retro, vintage and new but my first mtb was a Townsend just like that one (we were poor). Despite being cheap it rode better and had more character than a few bigger brand bikes Ive had since. That bike gave me the passion I have for mtb today (I race a Kona, do endurance events and spend a lot of time on the trials), the same company as Townsend also builds Claud Butler and Falcon bikes and the build quality was nowhere near as bad as some chain store bikes (universal, huffy etc), it was era specific so I dont see the problem with letting the lad keep his post on the page to be honest.
