Sorry but one last post before bed. I am thankful for my husband who works so hard for his family. Yes, he enjoys his other job of IHSAA officiating for various sports, but he is 55 and does way too many events for his own good. And then there are days like this: he started his morning early at a cross country meet at an IPS school on the east side. He noticed another official there but, other than introducing himself, Dean wondered what the guy was doing there. Dean didnt realize that the athletic director thought the guy was with Dean, perhaps training. Dean kept busy getting the girl runners ready to start, fired his gun and shortly after was called to settle an issue on the course where some runners didnt stay on the course. While dealing with that, he and the AD hear a starters gun being shot. They both run toward the start line, only to discover that the other official had started the boy runners! Dean shouted What are you doing? The AD realized this guy wasnt with Dean. The imposter was escorted (chased) off the property. So weird? I mean, who does that? And why? Then, after reffing football all afternoon, he had a flat tire on 31 as he was coming to meet Taylor and me for Saturday night church. In case you wondered, he has been in bed for a while! ;) I told him tomorrow HAS to be better!
