Sorry for the bad quality, no way my phone can do this place justice. This is the beautiful Fords Pond at sunset from earlier today. We stopped for a visit before heading home and saw some white birds we couldnt identify from above the parking lot so drove down to the road and parked along the main road and walked to the pond to try and see the birds better. There were some Buffleheads, Green Winged Teal, Pintails, many coots, Mallards and Shovellers. Some of the white birds we saw had been Bufflwheads but others were different and too far off. Possibly the Common Mergansers from Plat I? Also saw just a few beautiful male Hooded Mergansers. I am sad I did not have my camera with me.
