Sorry for the delay, Friends. Busy, Busy, Busy. The Executive - TopicsExpress

Sorry for the delay, Friends. Busy, Busy, Busy. The Executive Board voted overwhelmingly (there was only one no vote) to sell Camp Black Mountain to Saturna Capital of Bellingham, WA. Given the options left on the table, this is a good end result. Saturna has pledged to make CBM available to Scout units. This arrangement would likely include overnight and weekend use of the campsites, Dining Hall, Ershigs Lodge, etc. (A traditional Summer Camp experience would be highly unlikely.) This use would be fee based, although Saturna hasnt yet shared what those fees might be. Best guess would be somewhat higher than current Mount Baker Council fees, but not out of reach for most units. Nathans Wall is slated to remain at CBM under the sale agreement. More details will be published on the Mount Baker Councils website, as promised in Council President Bob Nobles letter, once the deal is completed.
