Sorry friends, I have not attended any meeting, any discussion regarding anything. Certain things have compelled action items and did find it interesting as it is season to take things forward. One such is Setting a Structure and Guidelines to Protect, Propagate and Sustain Desi Cows. There are attempts to encourage farmers to go completely organic, protect Boy calves, protect aged cows by not selling them to butchers. But in that case, we need to show them a way to sustain and caring them. A trust in Mangalore is doing its best by rearing nearly 300 souls. But, they themselves suffer when the receive medically affected cows/bulls to rear. Quite often wounded ones land up after being rescued from traffickers. With an integrated approach, we shall be able to support many such groups with proven business approach. Not to make cow rearing a business focused effort, but if we do not show the way for economics, none can really care for them. A meeting is organised at Dharmashree, Chamrajpet tomorrow at 5pm to have a meeting with GauVanita team of Mangalore to try arrive at a metrix and check if we can deliver a guideline to support integrated economics of Cow-Culturing and Organic Farming. I know it is a working day; but I wasnt able to get the date of Dr Ananthalakshmi for the weekend. Please attend; we want to spread this model across places for replication.
