Sorry guys my Facebook will be very Ghostbusters heavy tonight, feel free to unfollow me. Ghostbusters has been one of the few properties left to not sell out, its always been pure to what it is. Ghostbusters is a movie written with friends and starring friends. To turn something so iconic into a simple cash grab with zero artistic passion behind is depressing. I dont Ghostbusters to have a Phantom Menace or a Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. If you read Paul Feigs tweets on the project its pretty apparent he has very little interest in Ghostbusters past the fact that its a recognizable and established franchise that will bring in a profit regardless of what it is. Do I think Ghostbusters should never be rebooted? Absolutely not, its gotta happen someday its how Hollywood works, It just needs to be put into the hands of someone who gives a damn about it and sees it more than a payday and a feather in their cap. Ghostbusters needs a JJ Abrams. Remaking the movie based on a gimmick without a script is absolutely selling out. Its about money and not the art. By definition thats selling out. Theres no way I can support it.
