Sorry it has been a few days since we updated but I was waiting to see my mom today in order to see what is going on. She was doing really good weaning off the ventilator, some days doing 10 hours off and only using the trach collar to run oxygen so her lungs learn to breathe on their own, but the past few days it seems she isnt able to go as long. She still has blood clots in the right lung after days of being on a blood thinner and given an enzyme that is supposed to break the clots up. So the doctors have decided to do a lung biopsy on Monday to see if the lung(s) are rejecting. Anxiety has become an issue and who can blame her on that but we pray the doctors will find the cause of the set back and it can be fixed. Mom is a fighter, absolutely the hardest fighting woman I know and with her strong will and prayer- we are confident she will overcome this and soon we will have her out of the ICU and on her way to running a marathon! We appreciate ALL the prayers, kind thoughts, and words of encouragement!!
