Sorry, ladies. This cutie is taken! Want some Jonathan updates? *What you see in the video is one of Jonathans new favorite things: blowing! He loves to copy Mom & Dad with this too. *Jonathan sat unassisted at Physical Therapy yesterday for 1 minutes and 12 seconds! I think this might be his record. :) Were continuing to work on sitting, but his Botox treatments from June have worn off, so he is a bit tighter in the hips and legs right now, which effects his sitting. *We have our second round of Botox scheduled for next Friday. We will also see a hip specialist on Thursday to address how tight Jonathans hips are. *We are trying to make the move to a Blenderized Diet for Jonathan. Basically, its real food blended up so fine that it can go through a g-tube. This requires a really expensive blender (Vitamix or Blendtec) but we are told each of the companies have medical discounts. The preparation for a blended diet is significantly more than what do currently, but we think in the long run, it will be worth it. Ideally, a blended diet would help Jonathan with his chronic constipation, throwing up and overall health. Right now, hes throwing up so much on his formula that hes losing weight. :( *Jonathan is becoming more and more discontent with his immobility. We hope this may help spur him on to try harder with rolling and sitting. Hes been trying to roll over since December, but his pesky tight hips have gotten in the way of that. Hopefully with these new Botox treatments (most likely targeting difference muscles) we will have some success in this area. *We had an appointment with The Childrens Center for the Visually Impaired this last Tuesday. Jonathan was diagnosed with Visual Processing Disorder. In short, this means that Jonathan has a hard time processing what he sees. Complex images or toys are difficult for him. This is something that he can outgrow! With certain therapies and different techniques for playing, we can hopefully overcome this. *We have been VERY busy with appointments lately. We are very blessed to live as close as we do to a great Childrens Hospital, but they keep us super busy with specialists, follow-ups and therapies. This week, we had 7 appointments. Next week, we have 5. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
