Sorry the article on Jamie Oliver is a bit long (but good) it finally explains why a MD hamburger can last for 2 years out in the open on the counter top without going off. They have admitted using this chemicals for years as did a couple of other fast food chains. that is why they can have such cheap meals. if you had to buy a burger elsewhere it is $8-$12, which would establish a going rate. Therefore buying organic meats gives you a much better chance at a healthy meal. You are worth it.
