Sorry, time for a little soap box rant.... Yes, I do realize that Ulric and Adalee are dogs; however, they are not just dogs to me. They are an extension of my family, they are my fur-kids. Just like your children rely on you to take care of them, my dogs rely on me. They are excited to see me return regardless if I have been gone 5 mins, 5 hours or 5 days. They offer comfort when I feel bad, and in return I offer them comfort and compassion when they are sick. I say this because I was just told that Ulric being sick was no reason to miss church, that he is just a dog. First and foremost let me ask, if your child that relies on you were sick, would you just leave them? No, you would monitor them to make sure they didnt need to go to a doctor. Second, just because I dont make church every Sunday does not mean that Ive stopped putting God first in my life. It does not mean that Im not offering up praise and thanks and worshiping. It just means that Im doing it from my house and that its just me and God communicating at that moment. Third, when you are completely flawless, without sin and above reproach you can judge me. Until then, leave that duty to God, for He alone knows what is in my heart.
