Sorry to burst your idea so early Reinou, but if we take our foot - TopicsExpress

Sorry to burst your idea so early Reinou, but if we take our foot off the gas, Harpo gains an advantage. Had a great debate last night over what the hell the military were doing in the Niagara Peninsula conducting military maneuvers. A friend sent me the following article explaining. There is one line in it that really pisses me off and should be of major concern for anyone in Canada. “This exercise will practice operations in urban and semi-urban areas, defence of vital points and resources, and the complex operating requirements of facing an opposing force ranging in scope from combat elements to aggressive protesters,” the Garrison Community Council of London, Ont., reported in its newsletter earlier this year. Now if you fall in the category of an aggressive protestor (not sure what the definition might be in Harpers eyes) you should be very concerned about these military actions. If David Suzuki had his funding taken away because he was an activist what might Harper consider an aggressive protestor. Given the chance I will definitely find out. Enough of this BS. Apparently these maneuvers were held last year in Meaford and they were being conducted for this reason: At the time, the Canadian Army noted the exercise was “designed to increase the operational readiness by providing a realistic and challenging scenario for the personnel of 4th Canadian Division in order to hone their knowledge and skills and remain prepared to assist Canadians when and where military help is needed.” So can anyone tell me the last time there was a war in Canada. If it happens, it will be because Stephen Harper has provoked the big boys. Ill give you my take on this. Harpo fully expects that he will have to declare Martial Law (to maintain his power) and thats when these troops will be deployed. Nothing more, nothing less.
