Sorry to disappoint those who are tired of the “pseudo” politics, but when it comes to Secularism in India, there is simply no turning back. Human beings are not perfect and their implementations of idealistic prescripts shall be less so. Yet, the point would be to strengthen secularism, not to weaken it. India as a nation - and, as a notion - must rely purely on the indefatigable secular fabric. Even as Hindutva has managed to do rather well today, India’s only chance of survival depends on its defeat. And indeed in the elimination of religious supremacism, shall be the victory of true “Indian values” (or, any countrys, for that matter).
