I travelled and applied for a job seventeen times in four years but luck did not pick on me to get employed. Every day I looked at my parents old and helpless, they expected me to assist them but I couldn’t. Being a lady, there were some bosses who even took advantage of my situation to fall in love with me promising they would get me a job. After having their share of what they wanted, they always vanished like wind. I became very frustrated. I met two of my Ogs back in college who had also not got a job for the same period I had stayed. They requested me to live with them in Kampala. We could move three of us in the evenings. Men of corporate class normally called on us to give them company. They bought us drinks and food. It became our way of living in Kampala. The first time after drinking, two of the men went with my friends for a night. I also went with the other. When he dropped me back in the morning in his car, my friends had money and had done some good shopping. I asked them where they got the money; they said you mean you came back without? I said we ate breakfast and he drove me back. I thought he’s now my boyfriend. They told me there’s nothing like someone owning you as a boyfriend here in the city. When he takes you out he has to pay you. I started and got some good money from three different men. My fourth time to move out with my colleagues, each of us got a man as usual. Mine after reaching his home, he used me and refused to pay. I tried to bargain but he became rude and started pushing me out of his house in the middle of the night. The scuffle attracted his neighbors and they came asking what was going on. He had slapped me, calling me even a fool. I told his neighbors the truth that he had refused to pay me; this is how I survive. They expressed concern and sympathy. But this man was not remorseful about his actions. Went ahead to push me out and locked the gate. I told him that it’s not that I wanted to do what am doing. But if you can use me and refuse to pay, God will pay me. I left weeping. After two weeks I left my friends in Kampala and went to Mbale leaving alone. After nine months, one day while I was in a salon I was called that I had a visitor. To my surprise only to see the man who used me one night refusing to pay and manhandling me while in Kampala. He had a lady with him who introduced herself as a sister. They both looked humble and requested to talk to me from somewhere private but I was scared. They said feel free we are not here with intention to do anything wrong to you. After sitting, the sister started telling me that was her young brother but he had lost man power for a long time. And he confessed that he went out with you one time but out of drunkenness refused to pay and even manhandled you. That they had tried several experts but all failed. He ended up saying that maybe it may be you did something after you left unhappy. That they had taken five weeks tracing where you are. The sister looked well off. She went to the car and picked 500 Thousand shillings saying please, kindly accept this money and free him. But the truth is that after he frustrated me that day, I just went away within in agony and forgave him. Never did anything. I refused to accept the money. The sister begged that ok you just take the money even if you’re not the one, but true I did not do anything and did not take the money. After a long discussion, they asked for my number I gave them. They went back, but three weeks later, the sister called me that her brother is still not OK. What can I do? SOUL CONNECT HELP ADVICE.
