Soul mates are made, not born. Im not sure where the idea of soul mates originated from, but it gives people false beliefs and hopes. The hope of finding their prince riding in on a white horse. Having a healthy relationship is more about commitment rather than perfection. Id rather have my faithful king ride in on a spotted donkey with 3 legs. Every person is full of imperfections. My better half isnt perfect. But neither am I. There are many things about him that frustrate me. And in the same breath, I have realized that these frustrations are really a result of MY imperfections. I love him so much. And more everyday. We arent meant to be with someone who is perfect, we are meant to be with someone who is imperfect so they can teach us about ourselves. Imperfections are the new beautiful! We are meant to be with someone with flaws, to expose our own. We are here to be taught the value of life, and being committed to one person forever. Be with someone with similar passions and dreams. I understand that no 2 people are going to want EXACTLY the same thing out of life, however, you work together, compromise and sacrifice things you dislike about partner. If your better half has the same visions as you, they will understand your struggles and support you to make the very best out of yourself and EVERY situation that gets handed to you. There is so much power in 2 people who have the same passions, dreams, and goals. If you can do these things and not just say them, then you are the definition of a TRUE power couple. People envy you, they want to be you. They will hate on what youve got....
