Southern Ijaw News – For 27 August 2013 The Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government, Chief Remember P.N. Ogbe has reiterated his resolve in upholding staff welfare without compromise. He stated this during the handover ceremony of official cars purchased for councilors and management staff of the local government. Fielding questions from journalists shortly after the occasion, Chief Ogbe explained that repayment will be done through monthly deductions from source. Speaking on behalf of the benefiting legislators and principal staff of the Southern Ijaw Local Government, Hon. Mabel Ogounga, who is also the Leader of the Legislative Arm, expressed deepest appreciation to the Executive Chairman of Southern Ijaw Local Government describing him as God-sent. In her vote of thanks, she enumerated the purchase of laptops, the prompt implementation of the 2007 chat for councilors as gestures that have in no little way motivated them.
