Winn spoke at a meeting of the Centralia Industrial Commission on Thursday, he says Wire Basket Trays have a variety of applications. In recent years, however, demand has been coming from datacenters and tech businesses, who use the trays to hold and contain the thousands of wires needed to construct advanced data centers. Winn says that between Centralia-Based WBT and its three regional competitors, Southern Illinois makes up around 90% of nationwide sales of Wire Basket Trays. WBT, which operates out of the old Donnewald Distributing facility on Harting Road, employs 15 people on one, ten hour shift. As early as the end of this year, they plan to expand to 30 employees on two shifts. JP Morgan Chase, Google, and the US Navy are counted among WBTs clientele.
